    Love that you show cutting 2 boards as a pair to ensure both have the same pitch. Many other videos show pieces cut separately and pitch errors are likely. Another video indicated that tongues should be 0.006 inches less than the slots, important information to avoid assembly problems.

    Plastic subbase sliding on steel is a NO GO! Line the angle iron with a 1/6" or so wood strips. Or make a wood or steel, etc. subbase to slide on the steel. No need to destroy the precision plastic subbase.

    Ok we’re did the bottom cast grate come from that fit so perfect . The one that holds the charcoal? The rest is neat ! Could use an old hot water tank and make a larger one I think they are 14”&16” diameter the propane tank is 11-12” . Most are glass lined but that wouldn’t stop you from useing it . Great video I have a guy wanting one of these ! This will help with how to do it . Could take the propane tank for the wood part of a smoker and hook it to an old hot water tank for the place to put the meat ! Thanks again for the info ! We like , subscribe and share

    Nice to see someone actually DO SOMETHING with this equipment. I have 2 sons with shops and am thinking of getting one of these for each of them. I'm in Canada so a lot more expensive in Canadian dollars but it looks like once someone understands how to use it and works carefully ...the results can be good.

    • @Ollaris
      @Ollaris 2 місяці тому

      I’ve seen blacksmiths use wax products to keep forged items from rusting so I wanted to try it. However I wouldn’t recommend it. Because of the high temperatures it only lasted about 6months before it began rusting.
